Dewey Decimal Classification System

Dewey Decimal Classification System (杜威十進位圖書分類法) 是用傳統的學科來分類，
總共以10個主要的學科（main classes）來涵括所有的知識體系, 每個大類下又再細分10類（divisions），
接在又再分成10小類(sections）。
 

DDC中每個學科都會給予特定範圍的數字來表示，它的十個大類（main classes）分別是：

000 Generalities總類
100 Philosophy, parapsychology and occultism, psychology哲學、心靈學及超自然學、心理學
200 Religion宗教學
300 Social Sciences社會科學
400 Language語言學
500 Natural sciences and mathematics自然科學與數學
600 Technology (Applied Sciences) 科技（應用科學）
700 The arts藝術
800 Literature (Belles-letters) and rhetoric文學（純文學）及修辭學
900 Geography, history, and auxiliary disciplines地理學、歷史及相關學科
